Last night I stepped off a plane into the terrifyingly delicious, sticky heat of Florida and was startled to realize that December in Miami is becoming a tradition. For the 3rd consecutive year I will have work showing in the frenetic, delightful cacophony that is Art Basel, Miami Beach.
This year I will be exhibiting with Hashimoto Contemporary at Miami Project. I created two new life-size works for the exhibition, and I'm delighted to be showing alongside 9 other artists, including John Wentz, 1010 and and Erin M. Riley. Stop by booth #E2 and say hello!

In other news, Fall included learning that my work, Eugene #4, was selected from more than 2500 entrees to be included in the National Portrait Gallery's prestigious Outwin-Boochever Portrait Competition at the Smithsonian. The work was not only selected for the exhibition, but was also one of 7 works shortlisted for the first prize. The exhibition will open in March of 2016 and will travel to 4 museums after spending a year at the National Portrait Gallery.
I also traveled to Oslo for my first solo exhibition off of American soil, and a huge thanks is due to the lovely folks at Galleri Ramfjord for making that possible.
